At Kirtilals we have a tradition of celebrating art and felicitate artists. The Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha organized a six-day long performing arts and cultural festival to conclude the centenary celebrations dedicated to the Carnatic legend.

Known as the Nightingale, M.S. had a long relationship with Shanmukhananda Sabha.  The first song that M.S. sang at a public function in Madurai was Marathi abhang . She was barely ten then. Mumbai therefore was an ideal city to celebrate her centenary.

On the ground floor of the hall, a life-size statue of the singer greeted the visitors while her portraits smiled from walls. For the occasion, the hall also set up a permanent photo exhibition.

At Kirtilals we have always associated with noble causes such as Women Empowerment and art. As part of our woman empowerment program, we have recruited metric pass girls and trained them with essential skills to enhance their standard of living and be financially independent. At the group level we employ over 6000 women worldwide.

So when Hyderabad born P. V. Sindhu won a silver medal at RIO Olympics, it was logical for Kirtilals to felicitate her.
